Scope

This policy describes how Diastasi, operated by Providential Software LLC, processes information when you use the mobile application, visit its website, create an optional account, or contact support. Some tools operate on-device; optional sync, analytics, advertising, search, and AI-assisted features use network services.

Information processed

  • Measurements, units, labels, selected points, references, confidence information, and saved results.
  • Photos and camera input selected for measurement, detection, label reading, or visual analysis.
  • Authentication identifiers and profile details made available through Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Device, usage, performance, error, network, and diagnostic information.
  • Prompts, lookup requests, feedback, and support communications.

Storage and synchronization

Measurement records, saved references, preferences, and optionally saved photos may remain on your device. Saved measurement photos are not included in cross-device sync. Signed-in users may synchronize records, references, and selected preferences through Firebase. Clearing local history does not remove an account’s cloud copy; account deletion removes synced data subject to limited operational or legal retention.

Photos, AI, and lookups

When you request detection, label reading, natural-language interpretation, a dimension lookup, or another assisted feature, Diastasi may send the selected photo, cropped region, query, and necessary technical information to its hosted service and configured AI or search providers. Manual measurement can be used without AI analysis.

Use and sharing

Information is used to operate measurement, history, reference, account, and sync features; process requests; secure and improve the service; diagnose errors; enforce limits; provide optional rewarded ads; and comply with law. Diastasi does not intend to sell personal information for money.

Service providers may include Firebase and Google Cloud, PostHog, Google AdMob, and configured AI, OCR, catalog, or search providers, depending on the feature you choose.

Analytics and advertising

PostHog may be used for product analytics and error reporting. Analytics events are designed not to include measurement photos or dimensions stored in history, and session replay is disabled in the current configuration. Optional rewarded ads are supplied by Google AdMob and currently request non-personalized advertising.

Retention, security, and choices

On-device information remains until you delete it, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or use an applicable control. Cloud and provider records may remain for limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, or legal periods. You can decline an account, disable photo saving, use manual modes, change device permissions, clear local history, restore eligible cloud history, sign out, or delete an authenticated account.

Children, international use, and changes

Diastasi is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required. Providers may process information in countries other than your own. This policy may change as the product and legal requirements develop; material changes will receive appropriate notice.

Contact

Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@providentialsoftware.com. Any required postal or regional representative details will be added before release in applicable territories.
